Friends of photographer Craig Morey have joined together to organize a
one-day fundraising print sale to help offset medical bills Craig has
incurred for his recent cancer treatments.**

This is a special one-time opportunity to purchase Craigís elegant black
and white photographs of the female figure in his studio, at specially
discounted prices. Both digital and vintage fiber prints will be
available, as well as signed books and posters.

Print prices will range from $75.00 to $500.00. We hope you will join
us on Sunday, December 18 to support Craig, his work, and the Bay Area
Community of artists who continue to support each other in work and
in life.

PS: For those who cannot attend on the 18th, but would still like to
make a print purchase, information is available at:

** In July 2005, Craig Morey was diagnosed with throat cancer and
immediately began receiving both radiation and chemotherapy to combat
this life-threatening disease.† Because of the severity of his
treatments, Craig was incapacitated for several months and is only now
returning to his photography work. As a self-employed artist, Craig has
had no income or sick pay during this very difficult period.
The most recent evaluations by his doctors have been favorable and Craig
has a very good chance of recovery, and of keeping the cancer in
remission. Unfortunately, basic health insurance does not begin to
cover the cost of treatment and Craig's medical bills are astronomical.
Funds raised from the Dec. 18th sale will be used to offset these bills.

Biographical Information: Craig Morey was one of the original founding
members of San Francisco Camerawork Gallery in 1977. He subsequently
served as Cameraworkís first director. In 1981, Craig began a freelance
career, specializing in black-and-white nudes and portraits. That year,
Craig was name named one of only five world discoveries by the editors
of Time-Life Books. Over the past two decades Craig has received
worldwide recognition for his work, which has been extensively published
in the US and Europe, and has been acquired by both museums and private
collectors. His photographs have been published in four monographs:
Studio Nudes (1992, New York), Linea (1996, Tokyo) and 20th-Century
Studio Nudes (2001, Augsburg Germany)
