A Bridge Too Far in the snow
Horses on the snowy southern bank of the river Rhine, a train crosses the
Oosterbeek railroad bridge. This peacefull river bank was a terrible scene
of war during Operation Market Garden in 1944. The British tried to cross
the Rhine, but the Germans won this battle: A Bridge Too Far.
