How the heck does LittleCms help to ADJUST RGB ?
It's a color management system. This means, it can transfer
color information between different color coordinate systems,
as good as possible, but it's probably not a tool for
ADJUSTING colors and saturation and contrast and sharpness
(by appearance).

And what has this to do with the operating system ?
Image processing programs like Photoshop are available for
Win and Mac.

For the OP: developing a substitute for PhS, including color
ADJUSTMENT (as above) and COLOR MANAGEMENT, will need
5.000 to 10.000 hours programming.
Better stick to the commercial solution.
