ok, i get it. the classic it's not a bug, it's a feature thing...
maybe this is intuitive in the mac realm, but not in the real world, if i may say so... :-)
if the toggle is specific to a single tab, it'd be better if the toggle was positioned within the tab, not somewhere else.

anyway, ian, thanks for the tip with the "Settings:" select box. this was, what i was looking for :)
