Subject: Re: What is the default kelvin temperature set to when you bring up a raw image
Hi John :
I will try your suggestions with the white balance settings unfortunately I do not have access to another D70 camera and the Nikon camera does not have a Kelvin adjustment but I assumed that when I
shot the raw image whatever kelvin temperature came in as the default was the actual camera setting. ( That setting seems to be consistently 55 - 5700K. ) This always seemed interesting to me and that is why I initially posted on here, I have looked at many books and none seems to address that issue of the default Kelvin temperature settings. I am reading a book by Ben Willmore Upspeed with CS2 and here again I do not see any information on that.
One other thing that I noticed today when I looked at the Canon the color temperature was set at 5200 K and on that camera there is no color cast and it seems to be reading a white background.
Thanks for the assistance
