Subject: Re: Saving RAW file in PSE3?
Marie is right.
Camera Raw 3.3 update
This new version of the Camera Raw plug-in replaces the original Camera
Raw plug-in that was installed with Adobe Photoshop& CS2 and Adobe Photoshop
Elements 3.0 and 4.0 software.
Sorry I cannot help you, as I'm unfamiliar with Elements. If no one replies here, try posting in the Photoshop Elements forum.
If you were using the full version of Photoshop 9 ("CS2"), I would advise you to "Purge the Cache", but that is a function of Bridge, which you obviously don't have. I have no idea whether the Organizer might have an equivalent.
I also don't know if ACR will even let you save as 16-bit from within Elements, but if it did, that would make the saved file problematic for Elements (I believe). Make sure you are saving as 8-bit images for Elements, as I don't think Elements supports 16-bit.
However, I repeat: I'm unfamiliar with Elements
