Subject: Re: Photoshop Camera Raw vs Apple Aperture

ACR is certainly a top notch converter as is C1 Pro.
There's no doubt that within the next 1.5 years Aperture will be more of what a Pro photographer expects.
I have to agree that the RAW conversion in Aperture and color controls need some work,
but as far as the interface it's slick.

At $499 I want Aperture to allow tethered capture for RAW (like C1 Pro) and then after processing and viewing I can jump to PS for "real" editing work.
I say real because if Apple implemented all the retouching features PS has then it would be a direct threat to PS.

C1 Pro is $499 but does not offer all the color controls Aperture does, so maybe Apple's pricing isn't all that off.
