Subject: Re: Photoshop CS support for new Pentax DS2
I was always under the impression that TIFFs were lossless with no compression. I say that because I work with a great number of them in digital cartography and you need 100% of the details to be expressed for aerial images. Also, when I called Pentax they assured me that the integrity of the images would be maintained through their converter. At this point, only the physical limits of the camera sensor should impact the quality of the images taken and then converted to TIFF (i.e. 6.1 mp and a max res of 3000x2000). However, if you've experienced degredation of image quality using Pentax's RAW converter, I'd be glad to hear about it.
