PP negates the rationale for shooting in jpeg
I agree 100%, nailing exposure (and WB, contrast, sharpening) is much more critical when shooting JPEG. These files are not really meant for PP.
Still, I don’t consider camera meter (set to 0 EV compensation) to be the final “judge and jury” how the photo should be exposed. I’ve seen too many complaints “my camera under exposes”. Cameras don’t under/over expose… photographers do.
These sophisticated metering systems shouldn’t take thinking process out of the equation… they are just dumb tools. There is good number of ways to set ISO/shutter speed/aperture combo before the shutter button is pressed.
