Subject: Re: ++ Debugging ACR 3.x Installation Problems ++

I have posted this thread as a separated topic, but now I guess, it makes more sense to post it here.

Just to let things clear:
1) I see only one instance of ACR on Help/plu-ins
2) The instance is 3.2
3) Bridge (1.03), on RAW preferences, shows on the status bar, ACR 3.2 and it's working, I mean Bridge is able to produce thumbnails of my RAW files without any problems. Even the preview is displayed correctly (I just don't know if it is using Microsoft's XP RAW preview plug-in, or ACR engine).

I have Photoshop CS2 installed and I've downloaded the ACR 3.2 (have already tryed the 3.1 also). But I cannot get PS to recognize the CR2 files from my Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT (EOS 350D), firmware 1.02. It keeps telling me it cannot complete the request 'cause it's not the correct kind of document.

WIth PS and Bridge not running, I deleted the old plug-in and I copyed the ACR plug-in on the "C:Program FilesCommon FilesAdobePlug-InsCS2File Formats".Is this the correct procedure? Am I missing something?

After trying everything I could imagine, I've installed Microsoft RAW preview, and Bridge started creating thumbnails and previews ever since. I got happy, thinking I'd done something right, but if I double click a CR2 thumbnail on Bridge, photoshop still refuses to open it.

This is a resume of my System info:

Can anyone help me?
