I would say the next step is to look at the RAW file with software such as DCRaw, which lets you see the actual raw data without any gamma correction, white balance, or camera curve. I would use the switches -m -n -b 0.25 -3. If you want, post the RAW file if possible.
BTW what illumination was used? Some florescents or metal halide lamps might have a spike in the green.
