I have just taken delivery of a D200. Before purchasing I made certain by
contacting Nikon Users Club London England, which I am a member, to get
reassurance. "No problem all the old problems are now solved". Well they
are not solved. I now have a €2,000 camera and can only shoot jpegs. So
what now. Money back!!!!!! I will have to continue with my Slow D100 & 5700
You can process D200 raw files using Nikon Capture 4.4 for 30 days free of charge. I purchased it for $99 USD and am using it for the time being. I will compare the Capture results to ACR when ACR supports the D200. Adobe Camera Raw will certainly support the D200 raw file format at some point, and Capture provides me some capabilities with the camera that I cannot get otherwise (like backing up custom settings and loading custom tone curves).
There are also other products out there than can already read the D200 raw files. Go to www.nikonians.org
