ahhh .. you've hit upon one of the codes of the great japanese camera companies -- the Bushido Shoshinshu. substitute the word "Nikon" (or Canon) for "overlord" and "customer" for "vassal" and one begins to understand one's role. to question it ... makes one less than worthy.

it's not that nikon's PR is bad--it's simply medieval. once one understands this it all makes sense. of course it would help to have lived in japan.
