Subject: Re: Camera Raw support for Nikon D200?
If you believe what you quoted, then I think you have answered your own question. If you are going to invest that kind of money in a camera, why don't you just go ahead and purchase the Nikon capture program? It isn't going to be that big of an investment for you. Then, you can play with your precious RAW images immediately. Yes, it might take a couple of months for Camera Raw to catch up and support your camera. If you can't wait and just shoot JPEG images until Camera Raw supports your camera, then buy the other software. Maybe it will provide something additional that you might like. If it doesn't, it doesn't seem to me that it would be that big of a deal. Good grief! Just because you buy the most current Nikon on the market doesn't mean that the whole world should be centered on catering to your "needs."
