I think you are gettting close to the thrust of my original question. I especially like the phrase "should X be done in ACR or PS for best results?"

With that reformulation of the question let me ask the participants of this thread which of the controls they believe are best done in ACR and why. Clearly, color temperature, tint and exposure make sense and require no discussion. Similarly, it makes little sense to me to sharpen in ACR because of the control PS affords in USM especially when combined with masks (I am addicted to Bruce Fraser's techniques in this regard) But with the power of PS layers, is it best to defer tweaking curves to PS?
