Subject: Re: Camera Raw Post-Conversion Features
Canon's DPP distinguishes between raw controls and RGB controls while Adobe makes no such distinction. So, my question really boils down to which controls in ACR are analogous to Canon's RGB controls. The question I ask really pertains to information loss. What steps in ACR are "lossy", and might be better postponed for Photoshop. For example, would I be better off deferring changing the contrast of the image to a curves layer. If so, what contrast curve would you recommend (linear, high contrast, etc.)? And what slider setting represents the native contrast of the mapped image.
