Subject: Re: ACR v3.2 D2x white balance still not correct
Well I've read all the posts in this thread and it has been interesting.
I am now shooting with Fuji S2s and am considering moving to the Nikon D2x, but have been concerned about what I have heard about the WB issue between nefs and ACR, which is why I have read this entire thread. ACR has almost always been my processor of choice with the S2.
Let me ask a fairly simple question I hope. I personally don't care whether ACRs WB # matches the NC number or what I set in the camera. I spent nearly 20 years testing film which was supposed to be 5500 and found it almost always to be a few hundred degrees off. I'd just use filtration to correct for it. All I care about is that the image look correct, a subjective term I know. So here's my question. If I do a custom white balance and shoot a grey card, process the image using ACR, will the image be neutral?
