Subject: Re: ACR v3.2 D2x white balance still not correct
Jason, let me suggest a (clumsy) workaround that might partly satisfy your wish to coordinate ACR's readout with your D2x's controls. [Have I put enough qualifiers into that sentence?]
First, disable the default Auto adjustments.
Shoot a scene with the D2x set at, say 5000K. When ACR opens it, showing 4800K & tint -3, make a note of those numbers. Select "Custom" for White Balance, reset the 2 sliders to 4800 and -3, and save the Settings with the name "D2x 5000K". Repeat the process for all your commonly-used Nikon white balances.
Then, whenever you open a test exposure in ACR you can scroll through your named Settings and each one will display a preview of the image as if shot with the given Nikon white balance.
I've tested this with Fuji S2 and S3 in ACR 3.1, and it seems to work well.
