Subject: Re: ACR v3.2 D2x white balance still not correct


Imagine when you shoot JPEG that inside your Canon 1D mkII camera is a tiny version of DPP doing the conversions. That's why the JPEGs match the real DPP on your computer.

If we could squeeze ACR inside your camera the out-of-camera JPEGs would match Photoshop. If those JPEGs looked too cool or under-exposed you'd adjust the camera settings accordingly. Then you'd be complaining to Canon for them to get their white balance right.

Has my bad analogy made sense?
