Subject: Re: ACR v3.2 D2x white balance still not correct

Jason,

It's not easy to make anything out of your posts other than stubbornness, haughtiness and pent up aggression.

Perhaps it's a cultural thing. You spell "apologise" with an s, but then you also misspell "synical"[sic] with an s, so I have no clue as to whether you are British or just as bad a typist as I am.

Yet again you type "…if me and you are [sic] just not getting the tone of each other's posts…" and that again is a tortuous grammatical construct that gives me no clue as to your cultural heritage. English not being my first, second or even third language, I was taught to say "you and I are", rather than "me and you are".

There is no point in going over the substantive issues being discussed, as all that needed to be said has been said.

It has been clear from the start that you refuse to read all the existing threads on the subject where it has been explained over and over again that Adobe Camera Raw does not seek to emulate any other RAW conversion software, not Nikon's, not Canon's, or anyone else's. You have yet to read Bruce Fraser's essential books on the subject.

It has also been made amply clear to you and others by the creator of Photoshop and Camera Raw that to accede to your demands to be presented with numbers you yourself dialed into the camera would mean showing you an unacceptable appearance of the image that you yourself would be the first one to reject. No one would benefit from such a thing. It would be meaningless. What ACR shows you is but a starting point to get to where you want your image to be. If you don't agree with that philosophy, then ACR is just not for you.

Therefore, the only thing that remains for me to do is to respond to your inquiry as to what the point of one of my posts was. It's simple, transparent and clear that I was agreeing fully with the poster right before me. So an affirmative "yup!" was all that I deemed necessary.

Your resorting to insults and attacks fits into your pattern of beating your head against the wall. Obviously you're frustrated and I'm aware that frustration leads to aggravation and aggression. You have chosen to make this a personal confrontation and that's fine, for I couldn't care less now. But to attempt to make others believe I'm just trying to "wind you up", in your parlance, is, as I said, pitiful, just pitiful.
