Chris, If I'm not mistaken, I think that Jason would like to have the kelvin degrees of ACR V3.2's temperature scale match those set in the files.
Jason, the problem is that ACR is not only a converter for Nikon Files, but for almost every brand of Camera out there. Each mfg has its own methods of setting °K, daylight temperatures, etc. so does Adobe (or Thomas Knoll)
