Subject: Re: ACR v3.2 D2x white balance still not correct

Thanks for your opinion, it's good to know I'm not the only one who feels this way.

Without wishing to sound rude I have followed many of the comments by the people you mention both on this forum and others. I have already done my "leg work" and I didn't ask you or any other poster to do it for me so get off your high horse and stop being so patronising, you are adding fuel to a fire that is already burning very well.

I, along with others like Michael and many of the shooters at www.Nikonians.org, still don't understand why Adobe can't, by using Nikon's code or their own, read and correctly interpret the colour temperature and white balance data from the files we produce. This is the only explanation required but it is required in its full and honest version.

Once we have that reply, we as professionals who choose to work with tools from both Adobe and Nikon and have supported both companies over many years, will then know in which direction to best direct our joint pressure with calls for help in resolving this matter once and for all, that plea may be to Nikon to remove the encryption of the white balance, even though other software companies have found ways to resolve this issue, or to Adobe who have been respected and trusted by many of us who now feel that trust slipping away for whatever reason.

This will probably be my last post on this subject in this forum as I can see it descending into a war of words between Adobe's supporters and Nikon shooters. This was not my aim when starting this thread and as such it has probably run it's course. I will, however, be following up other paths of enquiry and hope that eventually we can all "sing from the same hymn sheet".
