Subject: Re: ACR v3.2 D2x white balance still not correct

Hi Chris,
yeah its both the quantitaive difference in numerical values (nikon vs acr) throwing me as well as the color being off. Its just frustrating because if I dial in a value into the camera (or using auto or another preset wb condition perameter) I expect that value to be displayed in acr...not some other "adobe equivalance" alternative value...the way it is now, if the white balance is off I don't know if it was my original settings which were off, if the camera's wb control is not working properly...well you get the idea. If the wb is off , I don't really know what numerical acr value to dial into acr because its values are different than nikon's.

I've started using whitbal cards more often which helps (w/ the eyedropper tool) but for those action shots outdoors (distant subjects say at 400mm + lens )with those changing light conditions (as mentioned before) I'm still having alot of frustration with.

I'm going to look into doin the camera calibration deal in the next few weeks and hope that will yeild more accurate color rendition in acr as well...any thoughts if that will help a great deal?
