I believe I understand ... that is, the 'xmp' file was a result of my opening the raw file in the 1st place an passing it to Photoshop, not a result of ACR using it to calibrate. Therefore, I should manually change the settings as implied by the ACR calibration, and save accordingly(?) It's a good thing I saved the results as PSD files! It would seem there'd be a better way to export ACR calibrate's efforts(?)
