Subject: Re: ACR Calibration
I just downloaded and ran Tom's latest script on the capture I made this afternoon and it produced almost identical results to what I'd done manually on the old capture done with strobes.
The exposure settings arrived at by the script are different, though and somewhat puzzling but I suppose this is like comparing 1/125 @ f8 to 1/250 @ f5.6, whatever.
In your experience, is it worth setting new contrast defaults as determined via the color calibration process? I've noticed both contrast and saturation adjustments in ACR can have huge impacts upon relative RGB values for a given patch, whereas exposure and brightness have virtually no impact on the relative values.
Thanks again for ridin' this tired old horse!
