Subject: Processing Images from RAW to Print

After spending some time now applying what I've learned up to date about processing my raw images (Canon EOS 10) through Adobe CS2. Here's the process that I've come up with and getting pretty good results.
Can anyone suggest anything I could add or change the order of to improve results. My objective is a sharp image, that has vivid colors, and is crisp.
Open Raw Image (I hit ok at first screen)
Image>adjustments>shadow>highlight - Depending on photo I adj. shadow between 36 & 50. Radius to about 100-114.
Image>adjustments>brightness/contrast - I adj contrast 4-10
Image>adjustments>Hue/Saturation - I adj. 4-10
Filter>sharpen>unsharpen mask - I adj 36-50
Image>Mode>change from 16bit to 8bit channels
Then save photo as jpeg with the quality set at 12 maximum.

Any feedback would be appreciated!!!

Thanks
