Subject: Processed Files won't allow metadata changes through bridge...

This is something I haven't seen before and if anyone could give me a hand I would appreciate it.

I have a number of recently processed .tif files that come from a D70 which were processed using ACR through Bridge and also files from my D200 which were processed through C1Pro.

Now when I try to add keywords or add descriptions to any of these files I get an error saying the "file cannot store XMP metadata" I have processed file this same way in the past and haven't noticed this before. Is there a setting I missed somewhere. Also I noticed some of the files were keyworded before processing and those keywords don't show up in Bridge but do when I get File info in photoshop. Do tif files not support XMP metadata? It seems that the jpegs do allow me to tag just fine.

thanks for the help.

Jeffs
