Subject: Photoshop 6.0.1 and NEF plug-in (error loading plug-in)

Trying to edit RAW images taken on Nikon D50 in PS 6.0. I downloaded the newest version of Nikon View and Edit which has the Nikon NEF plug-in included in the install. PS recognizes the NEF files now but when I try to open them I get an "error loading plug-in" message.

Can someone tell me how I can get the plug-in to load?
