Subject: ColorChecker Mini - does it work with Thomas Fors' ACR calibration script?
I've been pondering purchasing the GretagMacbeth ColorChecker 24 patch reference primarily for fine tuning my Canon 20D.
After reviewing X-Rite's support for Monaco Profiler Paltinum 4.8 (which I have) they mention that anything that reads the standard size ColorChecker 24-patch reference should also be able to read the data on the mini.
Has anyone had success using the mini? I've seen the question asked a few times but I've never seen it answered. I've searched all over here, and planty of other places but it was to no avail.
In this thread, I read where Bruce will sometimes use the ColorChecker mini for white balancing Bruce Fraser, "D2x Workflow?" #1, 25 May 2005 6:13 pm and I wan't sure whether he also advocates using the mini to calibrate a digital camera in Camera Raw.
I suppose the optimal thing would be to have both ... one for portability and close-up shots, and the larger one to use for wider shots. Which one would be the best first purchase?
Many thanks
