Subject: Camera Raw default settings with Canon 20D

I've set ACR to view images with the auto settings off. My question is does ACR view the image calibrated specifically for the 20D? Because I've noticed that the midtones look a little too high. The brightness slider reads 50 but to the eye I think it should read a little lower maybe 35. I thought about lowering it to 35 and saving it as the new default setting but wanted to get feedback to see if anyone else has noticed this, or to hear others opinions. Bruce Fraser are you listening?
