Subject: CS Camera Raw 2.0 to 2.4 won't open NEF

First Post - be gentle!

Ive read the knowledge base and FAQ regarding replacement of the Nikon 8bi plugins in the file formats plugins folder of Photoshop CS. I've also read all of the threads asking people to read the FAQ and knowledge base.

I have tried renaming and removing the Nikon 8bi plug-ins in order to get Adobe Camera Raw to launch instead of Nikon's. In every case in every version of Camera Raw I get the error message "Could not complete your request because it is not the right kind of document"

I've downloaded and installed 2.1 to 2.4 of CR - no luck - any ideas?

I'm using a Nikon D50
