I would also point out, Rydog, that with FH's single pointer selected, using nothing but the Alt key you can:

Bend straight segments
Bend curved segments
Move straight segments
Move curved segments

You can also do the above while drawing along with the Pen, at any time pressing the Ctrl key to momentarily invoke the pointer. After making the segment adjustment(s), you release the key and the pen resumes drawing the path where you left off.

In the same scenario in Illustrator, you can:

Bend curved segments
Move straight segments

But you cannot:

Bend straight segments
move curved segments
