I want an Anchor Point Editing Palette.
Point editing in Illustrator desperately needs a big improvement. It is slow, clusmy and inaccurate. Users should not have to manually pull paths out all over the place with the convert anchor point tool to just change the nature of a point. That is a kludge.
Macromedia Freehand and CorelDRAW are so much easier to use in this regard because both offer palettes with tool buttons to change the nature of any selected anchor points.
FontLab and Fontographer take things a step farther by allowing you to input numerical coordinates for the anchor points AND the position of anchor point handles.
I'd like to be able to uninstall CorelDRAW and Freehand to just go with Illustrator alone. But it lacks too many essential anchor point editing tools to allow that.
