Tears rolled down my cheek when I didn't see you mention Seps Preview

Well, my personal preferences carry much less weight than those of paying customers. I only posted them because you asked people to, not because they mean much. The customers with the most influence are big design houses that buy hundreds or thousands of copies of the program, like major international ad agencies, Associated Press, Hallmark, Times-Warner, etc. Buyers of one or a small number of copies have influence too, but only when you average their input. And the preferences of engineers are way down at the bottom.

On the other hand, there are many more paying customers who use Illustrator to create art than who use it to print art created by other people. It is, primarily, a vector art creation tool. So while there is no particular reason to shed tears over what I want, it does hurt your chances that not many people at those big design houses are asking for the kind of features you are. (They mostly use InDesign or special dedicated applications for the kind of press preparation you are using Illustrator for.)

Multi-ink capabilities are possibly the most requested feature on your list, because it is useful on a per-object basis in a single illustration, so having it in InDesign doesn't help with the creation of art that uses different percentages of multiple spot inks on individual vector objects that comprise a complex illustration. Using Add New Fill and turning on Overprint on the top fill is the only workaround for now.

Mike's requests for changes to the treatment of clipping masks are very popular, though.
