There's the list of formats on page 7 of the AGS Commands Reference
There are 3 main limitations:
1. Limited support for TIFF formats per the Knowledgebase.
2. AGS doesn't support CMYK JPEGs on load or save (only sRGB)
3. AGS doesn't support CS1 or CS2 PSDs. Simple CS PSDs may work but the results are unpredictable. The more complicated the PSD the less likely it is to work.
(CS1 and CS2 sRGB JPEGs will work.)
