Subject: Memory requirements for java api and AlterCastServer.exe
Hi all,
the knowledge base says:
using java api and working on an image 4000x4000 pixel specify a memory limit of 1GB when executing a java command (i.e. java -Xmx1024m RunXML -c XMLCommands.xml ).
The adobe graphics server is running as a service and should manage its memory on its own. Why do I have to reserve memory on java level, which is just a layer for passing commands to the ags ?
can anyone draw a simple model of the architecture or send me a link to documentation which I have not yet read ? Thank you.
Cheers, dieter
