Subject: Re: When is the right time to convert to DNG
I suppose the answer to that question depends on your workflow. Often when I'm converting to the DNG format I will convert directly from the card and let the DNG converter place the files in a folder that's in my normal Bridge tree. Then, I simply delete the original RAW files from the card. It's all done in one step, and I don't have to worry about creating a lot of temporary folders and moving them around. That might not be something you would like to do, but when I'm going to use DNG files that's my workflow.
