Subject: New Epson R-D 1s is incompatible with DNG Converter
Just wanted to give the group a heads-up that the raw file format generated by the newly-introduced Epson R-D 1s camera (an uprated version of the original R-D 1) can not be processed by DNG Converter.
The original R-D 1's raw files worked fine, so apparently there has been a format change for the "s" model.
A firmware update is due in early June to add the "s" features to the original R-D 1, so if it also alters the raw file format, a lot of R-D 1 users will be in the same boat.
Personally, I depend on a DNG Converter>Bridge workflow to manage all my digital image files, so I won't be able to apply the firmware update until Adobe releases a solution. Thanks for listening.
